Welcome to Shiori. By registering for an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Company Information

Shiori is operated by Appit Studio, a company registered in Sofia, Bulgaria.

2. Service Description

Shiori is a bookmark management platform designed for macOS professionals. It provides cloud-based bookmark storage, organization with tags and categories, full-text search, and synchronization across devices via the ExtraBar widget. The service is accessible through the ExtraBar macOS widget and the Shiori web dashboard.

3. Account Registration and Usage

To use Shiori, you must create an account. By registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Be responsible for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent service limits.

4. Subscription Plans and Payment

Shiori offers subscription-based plans (Explorer, Professional, and Power User). By subscribing:

• Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly)
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the end of the billing period
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe
• All prices are listed in Euros (EUR)
• Downgrading or cancelling preserves your data but may limit access to certain features

The free Explorer plan provides limited access and does not require payment.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your account will be downgraded to the free tier at the end of your current billing period. Your bookmarks remain accessible, though some features may be limited. For refund inquiries, please contact us at appitstudio@gmail.com.

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of all bookmark data you store in Shiori. You may export your data at any time in JSON, CSV, or HTML format. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

7. Privacy Policy

Your use of Shiori is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Please review our Privacy Policy for more details.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Shiori website and within the service—including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software—is the property of Appit Studio and is protected by international copyright laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our explicit written permission.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Shiori to:

• Store or distribute illegal content
• Abuse the API or attempt to circumvent rate limits
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Use automated means to scrape or extract data from the service beyond API access
• Impersonate any person or entity

10. Limitation of Liability

Shiori is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted
• We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim
• You use the service at your own risk

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so the above may not apply to you.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bulgaria. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Shiori shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Sofia, Bulgaria.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Any changes will also be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Shiori after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
